Top 5 Things to Do or See in Surfside Beach
The Grand Strand extends for 60 miles and Surfside Beach is another jewel along the way. When you visit Myrtle Beach you must head south and check out a few highlights of Surfside Beach.
Brookgreen Gardens: This is one of our favorite places to visit in any season. Brookgreen Gardens has different set-ups and events to reflect the season and holidays. Our favorite set up is Halloween when the grounds are decked out in pumpkins and straw! They also do a “princess” showcase every little girl loves! The sculpture park is something grand to behold as well! Take a dollar off for up to four adults with your VMB Card.
Harbor Light Ballyard and Batting Cages: Let your competitive side come out and take your family to the batting cages! It is a great way to work off dinner and tucker your kids and spouse out for bed! It is just $20.00 for 250 pitches and they are open until 10:00 p.m. each night, plenty of time to show off your baseball and softball skills.
Wild Water and Wheels: Surfside’s most popular summer attraction is sure to be your family’s favorite too! Keep it cool with tons of fun slides, pools like the Wipe Out Wave Pool, a kiddie play area, fun rides and mini golf! All Day Full Park access is $31.95 plus tax for over 48” tall with your VMB Card and $29.98 tax for under 48” tall.
Waccatee Zoo: This fun attraction is a privately owned nature themed zoo with over 100 species of animals and 50 acres of viewing area. The admission price is fairly reasonable at $10.00 for adults and $4.00 for children. You can get a discount for groups of 15 people or more. Your family will love this educational and fun attraction! Take 10% off your total admissions and 10% off at the gift shop on purchases over $10.00.
Surfside Pier: We always recommend you take every chance you can to get out on a pier. Walk to the end and revel in the feeling of being out in the ocean! And you can’t get a much better vantage point for a breathtaking picture. Pay $1.00 and spend some time taking in nature.
