hotel Blue’s Guide to Barefoot Landing

Barefoot Landing is a Mecca for Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach tourists alike! The offerings at Barefoot Landing vary from shopping and dining to attractions and nightlife. Go mid-day and enjoy some shopping, staying for dinner and hitting a few hot spots for nightlife. Barefoot Landing is open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day of the week and next month will stay open later. Here are some of our favorite aspects of Barefoot Landing!

Shopping:

A few of our favorite shops are Francesca’s Collection, Out of Africa, and Southern Pearls. Francesca’s is very boutique style which makes it fabulously unique! There are only one or two sizes in each style and garment. Hallelujah to not matching every fashionable woman walking around! Out of Africa is a great shop to bring the jungle to your jewelry and home. When you walk in you are transported to the wilds of Africa with tribal home décor, jewelry and much more. Southern Pearls is the perfect place to go and find jewelry showcasing pearls. Southern Pearls lays claim to having the largest assortment of pearl jewelry on the east coast. They are also known for their coral and shell jewelry.

 Dining:

There are 15 restaurants to choose from within Barefoot Landing and each one offers something a little bit different. The restaurant you choose can depend on your mood or the occasion. There is such a variety you could eat there every day of your vacation for lunch and dinner and never eat at the same place. Head to Wild Wing Café to get your favorite finger food and catch your favorite sport. Wild Wing Café is known for their wide variety of wing flavors and has won some competitions. Infuse some romance into your vacation and head to Greg Norman’s Australian Grille your significant other will be very appreciative! Greg Norman’s features a killer prime rib and has some of the best, most flavorful risotto I have ever had the pleasure of eating! For an uproariously good time that keeps you on your toes head to Dick’s Last Resort. Dick’s Last Resort is known for their spunky servers dishing out extra servings of sarcasm complete with giving everyone inappropriate hats. Make sure you have a tough skin for this restaurant, but remember it’s all in the spirit of a good laugh and memorable time!

Attractions:

Two unique attractions no one else on the Grand Strand can lay claim to are Alligator Adventure and T.I.G.E.R.S Preservation Station. Alligator Adventure is one of the largest reptile zoos in the world and houses over 700 alligators and crocodiles! Spend the whole day checking out alligators, crocodiles, exotic poisonous snakes, and even a komodo dragon! Don’t forget about the tropical birds. Be sure to grab a schedule and check out all the live shows and demonstrations. Either on your second trip or later in the day get to T.I.G.E.R.S Preservation Station, which stands for The Institute of Greatly Endangered and Rare Species. Admission is free, but you do have the opportunity to purchase pictures and souvenirs to help fund their 50 acre preserve and conservation efforts in Asia and Africa. Ask how you can tour their preserve.

Nightlife:

The House of Blues features a restaurant and The Deck which runs a happy hour Friday and Saturday and features live music 8:00 p.m. to midnight with no cover. You can also find big name concerts at the House of Blues.

Bully’s Pub and Grill is the perfect place for to relax while watching a sporting event or play darts and enjoy their free wi-fi! Join them for happy hour everyday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and try one of their 32 beers on tap!
